Shekinah's Christmas Campaign All the money raised from this year’s Christmas Campaign will go to providing ongoing financial support for our Drop-in Centre. So, if like all of us at Shekinah you want to help see an end to rough sleeping, please support our Christmas Campaign. To donate click Donate Rough sleeping is the most visible and damaging form of homelessness. Death rates among homeless people are considerably higher than the general population. Those affected by homelessness are ten times more likely to die than those of a similar age in the general population. For 26 years Shekinah has provided the only Drop-in Centre facility in Plymouth for those who are rough sleeping. Since January 2018 the centre has been open 7 days a week and provides a range of services including food, showers, clothing, drug and alcohol advice, GP service and, most importantly, a safe place to be. With a worrying rise in rough sleeper numbers it is vitally important that our work continues. Shekinah receives no Government funding to provide this service but can continue through the generosity of donors, who like us, want to see an end to rough sleeping.
