I'm a support worker at Shekinah. I love running and I love my job so I thought why not combine the two?
University of Plymouth's Geography Society have been working hard all year to fundraise for causes we believe in with Shekinah being an organisation we feel passionate about. So this year I am running the Plymouth Half Marathon in aid of Shekinah with the hopes of raising money to help those less fortunate than me. Not only will it be hilarious to see me attempt to run over 13 miles but I am also aiming to beat my (awful) PB from 2016 at 2 hours and 34 minutes
Shekinah is a Devon & Cornwall based charity that provides opportunities for people in or seeking recovery. This may include recovery from homelessness, drug and alcohol issues, offending behaviours or mental ill health.
Help for the homeless in Plymouth

I am fundraising for this worthy charity because of the tireless hard work and commitment Shekinah put in trying to eradicate homelessness by tackling the barriers that homeless people face.
I want to help Shekinah carry on making a positive impact for people who don't always get it.
Thinking about people in need!
