"I have been coming to the Drop in Centre for several years and was heavily in to drugs but for the last 3 years with their help, I have been off everything . Without their help, I do not doubt that I would be back in prison or dead so I have a lot to be grateful for. Thank you all."

Shekinah’s Silver Celebration
Shekinah is celebrating 25 years of supporting those most vulnerable in our communities.
From humble beginnings in 1992; a group of pioneering volunteers opened the doors of the Bath Street Mission in Plymouth to those who were homeless and in crisis.
25 years on, it is sad to say that there is still a desperate need for Shekinah’s services.
Come and join us in celebrating Shekinah’s Silver year, by coming along on 11th of November 2017 5 p.m., at The Minister Church of St Andrew, Royal Parade, Plymouth!

A SUPer evening of fun on the water for three local charities
Three local charities are coming together again to host a SUPer evening of fun on the water with a Charity SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding) Night.
The event, being held at the Mount Batten Watersports & Activities Centre, will be a fun way to raise funds for three local charities, bought together as each are the Drake Circus nominated charities of the year.
St Luke’s Hospice, Shekinah and the Mount Batten Centre Charity Trust have already held their first combined charity event, a virtual kayak from Plymouth to Roscoff, which was successfully completed in the Drake Circus atrium recently

The Talem Group are now in a position where we can help the charity and we all look forward to utilising our skills and services, as well as opening up our warm heart, to truly make a difference to the people that need it the most. What’s more, it’s Shekinah’s 25th Anniversary this year, so what better way to celebrate their sterling work!
So what’s the plan? After several meetings with Soo Brizell-Hogg, Head of Strategic Partnerships & Contracts at Shekinah, we have come up with two initiatives to roll out across 2017. Each is based upon this statistic: 77% of people who are homeless want to work. And as a multi-disciplined recruitment group, working with the charity is somewhat of a natural calling
